| Kyra Sundance & Chalcy, along with husband Randy, were
honored to be the featured entertainers in a command performance stunt dog show
for the King of Morocco at his Royal Estate in Marrakech on May 8th, on the occasion
of the birthday of the Crown Prince. His Majesty King Mohammed VI even participated
in the show by holding a hoop for Chalcy to jump through! Chalcy entertained
the audience with acrobatics and tricks such as: barrel roll, play the piano,
ring toss, shell game, basketball, jumprope, and tidy up the toys. There was
one tense moment in the show when the juggler realized he hadn't forewarned Security
about his knife-juggling routine, but fortunately the snipers held their fire
and nobody got hurt. Chalcy attracted a lot of attention in the Medina marketplace,
as there aren't many pet dogs in Morocco. We were escorted by the head of the
King's Secret Service which allowed Chalcy entrance into the airplanes, restaurants,
shops, and hotels. Chalcy remains unaffected by her brush with royalty, and insists
she is still the same "ranch dog" as she always was. |
